Connect your patient education applications with your workflow – HL7 interface services to help support your systems investment.

Krames patient education applications – including Krames On-Demand and Krames Exit-Writer, can integrate with your EMR. Krames Interface Engine enables transmission of patient and education results data between Krames applications and your EMR using HL7 messaging.

Krames interface can allow you to document the patient education encounter in the EMR, helping you with Joint Commission audits and risk management concerns. Additionally, by interfacing your patient education solution, you can also take advantage of Krames secure email functionality – allowing you to educate patients in the home. Patients receive an “information prescription” via email for later retrieval on a secure website – and you can track their progress!

Krames offers two HL7 Interfaces for communications to and from an EMR:

ADT Interface – Allows your Krames application to receive patient demographics data from the EMR (name, patient and visit identification numbers, date of birth, sex, and address) and registration information (admission and discharge dates/times, status, unit)
Results Interface – Sends patient education transaction data (patient, date/time, educator, education topics, notes, and education assessments) to the EMR
